The Football Federation of Kazakhstan announces the appointment of Talgat Baysufinov as the head coach of the Kazakhstan national team.
Talgat Baysufinov took the helm of the national team for the third time in October 2025. Under his leadership, the team played a number of matches in the qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup. In particular, the Kazakhstan national team defeated Liechtenstein 4:0 and drew with North Macedonia (1:1) and Belgium (1:1).
Talgat Baysufinov previously served as the head coach of the national team twice, in 2016-2017 and 2020-2022.
Talgat Baysufinov has coached a number of domestic football clubs. Over the years, he managed the clubs "Esil-Bogatyr" (Petropavl), "Aksu", "Irtysh" (Pavlodar), "Akzhaiyk" (Ural), and also worked with the youth team of Kazakhstan.
During his football career, he played for the clubs "Irtysh", "Metallurg", "Enbek" (Zhezkazgan), "Ekibastuzets", "Zhetysu" and "Vostok".
